Macadamia Nuts
Macadamia nuts are a native of Australia grown in the clean green sunshine state of Queensland. For thousands of years the Aborigines gathered macadamia nuts which were a staple food in their diet. The Macadamia is the only native Australian plant ever developed as a commercial food crop.
Extremely difficult to extract from it's shell, Macadamia nuts require careful harvesting and are one of the rarest nuts on the market.
Daily consumption of macadamia nuts claim to have a beneficial effect in reducing cholesterol and decreasing the risk of heart disease. They also contain antioxidants in the form of Omega 3 .
